Recently, I've been noticing my controller (Stadia) has been doing some weird things like the audio clipping and my buttons getting mixed up (When I press A or X I get the stadia menu to pop up, just weird in general). I have factory reset the controller a few times since noticing these anomalies but the resets are short lived while the problem is becoming more frequent.
With that quick description, is there a way to verify the controller may be on its way out? This is not terribly heart breaking if it was the controller dying as it does have a lot of time on it and I would not be surprised. It's my first stadia controller and I would hate to trash it if I don't have to.
My controller is connected through wifi. Yesterday I factory reset my CCU & my controller together. During the set up when instructed to connect the controller I stopped the process and used my controller to open stadia from the screen directly connected to my CCU. When I did this the controller self shut down but after this 1st connection it has been working fine. Audio & all.
I'm not sure why this is but my thoughts were to connect my controller to the most direct link to my wifi without using the phone.
For good measure, I bought spare premiere edition anyway!
Hi @Rodzilla8735 -
I don't know of any way to officially check, sorry about that. Just curious, is your controller mainly connected via WiFi or plugged into a device when these glitches keep happening?

Happy to hear you were able to get it fixed @Rodzilla8735!!!!!
