When trying to charge my Stadia controller the orange light stays on for six seconds then goes off, followed by rumbling twice. The orange light then comes on again. This sequence just repeats.
I've tried rebooting, a hard reset by holding in the assist and screenshot buttons, switching my WiFi from dual 2.4/5 GHz to just 2.4 GHz, using a different USB charger and also a different USB C lead. Nothing has changed the controller behaviour while charging. Problem is that after charging for 3 or 4 hours, the charge level is still extremely low/possibly not charged at all. Any ideas?
Hi @MrVacca ,
Thanks for the response. The controller connects and works if plugged in for power. I've since been in touch with Google who, after a few attempts at fixing it have sent out a replacement that works perfectly.
Hi @k-sears
Sounds like you've tried everything in my troubleshooting techniques, sorry nothing is working. Does the controller still work if it's plugged into a laptop/pc/chromebook and using Stadia on Chrome? Or if it's plugged into the wall for power, will it still connect to a device or is it just doing the orange light?

Rock on! I'm happy to hear your up and running again. Hope you have a great end of 2021!
