I have been struggling to connect my new Stadia controller wirelessly to any of my devices. I have followed the steps more times than I wont to admit with no results. I have uninstalled and installed each required app (Google home, Stadia). I have restarted my internet and Chromecast Ultra a handful of times and I still run into the same issue; After Chromecast is connected to wifi through Google Home app, I then open Stadia app > click controller icon > Choose connect Stadia controller > Turn off/on controller > Yes controller blinks orange > Enter 4# code and nothing happens. The controller continues to blink orange. I tried a factory reset on the controller, somewhere on the forums they talked about holding Y during power-up -- tried that, I attempted to connect with the 4# code from Stadia through my laptop (Google Chrome Newest version) same problem.
This sucks, as I type this I am currently 151 place in line through Stadia Help and have attempted to reach them through email the last 2 days. I have been a google fan the last couple years and I am currently rocking a Pixel 3 (which has been great) and Google Wifi (older model/not Nest). Customer service has been a selling point for me but I haven't felt the love from Stadia. Perhaps someone on here went through a similar problem?
@TyeGuy I know you already did some troubleshooting, but perhaps I can offer a bit more insight. I recently encountered the same issue as well, but it was fixed after updating Chrome to the latest version. I know this won't help with Chromecast, but maybe you can check if you can connect through web browser?
Also, have you make sure if the phone that you used to set up Stadia controller, belong to the same network as your computer and Chromecast?
If anything fails, might be good idea to do RMA, just to make sure the issue is not with the device.

I gave that a try but no beans. After talking with Stadia for a bit they decided to issue a replacement
