I've never had any issues using my Stadia controller on non-stadia PC games before, but it won't work with ACO (non-stadia, installed in PC). It's weird. Does anyone have any ideas why that might be? Like the movement stick moves the cursor in the menu though very jerkily, but in game it just makes the character twitch and the other buttons don't seem to work either. It's baffling me.
In that case maybe you could try Stadia-ViGEm to get the Stadia Controller recognized as an Xbox 360 controller.
Hey there,
Make sure to try running the game through Steam. On your library, on the bottom left there's an "add game" button. Select "Add non-Steam game", and find your game. This way Steam's controller input will take over, which usually works better for me.
Hope this helps!
I don’t have it through steam. I have it through Ubisoft Connect which is where I run it from.
Sorry for the late reply.
In my answer I included instructions on how to add a non-Steam game to the Steam client. This way, you can still use Steam's controller options. If you want a more detailed guide with images, here is one.
Doh! Missed that. Sorry! I’ll give it a shot!
Alright I tried that but same results sadly. I miss my Stadia controller! When I first saw you post it was late and I was reading on my phone, so apparently my reading comprehension was impaired!

YES! Works like a charm! Thanks!
