Stadia Controller will NOT connect to Wi-Fi

Just got my FIOS upgraded with a new router (the Verizon FiOS G3100) and I cant connect my Stadia Controller to the WiFi. I am using a Google Pixel 4 with the Stadia app to attempt to connect.

I get as far as entering the WiFi password, but all it does is fail to connect.

I rebooted my Pixel 4 and the controller and the router - no luck. Now I have a unusable Stadia.

Try changing the channel the 5ghz band uses on your router.  Don't use auto channel, pick a specific one.  First try on the "low" end of the range, if that doesn't work try changing the channel to the high end of the range.
