Stadia Controller on Android

After linking my Stadia controller wirelessly to my Galaxy S6 tablet inside the Stadia app I get only basic functionality. The controller cannot be used to navigate the app itself and the headphone/microphone will not funtion. The controller will offer basic controls for a game that is opened via touch control from the tablet, but cannot be used to start the game. Is this normal?

@Cornfedd I believe that's normal. When the controller connects over WiFi, it's actually connecting to the upstream Stadia server instead of directly to your phone so it won't work until you start streaming a game from the server.

This help article also makes it sound like you'll need to connect your headset to your phone rather than the controller.

I'd encourage you to use the in-app feedback option to let the developers know how they could improve this experience. :slightly_smiling_face:
