Hello All,
I have been having this issue for months now, and I can't seem to find a solution on here, or anywhere for that matter. Hopefully, someone here can help me out.
My Stadia controller becomes unresponsive mid-game while playing Destiny 2. This especially sucks when I'm in the middle of a heated gunfight.
When it happens, no amount of button presses or inputs to the controller will fix the issue. The only way to resolve the problem is to unplug my controller & plug it back in again. And even after that, using the joysticks will not do anything, so I have to press the A button to regain control of my character.
Please help.

Do you also have this issue when using a Chrome incognito window?
Is it possible for you to try connecting the Stadia controller to a WiFi 2.4GHz. ![]()
@StaffCommunity was the issue only happening with Destiny 2? What about other games? I saw you already updated the controller, but have you tried resetting / factory reset the controller? Might be worth a shot.

Other than Ivan and RXShorty suggestion, just to exclude the issue is in the controller itself, have you tried with mouse/keyboard? do you see the same issue? another test you can do, is to connect the controller using wireless connection, to do so, tap on the controller icon and then after turnin on the controller input the sequence you see on your monitor while the pad light is flashing white
