Stadia Controller and Beyerdynamic DT 990 Pro

Hi Folks,

I recently bought the Beyerdynamic DT 990 Pro Headphones (after reading the review here:https://headphonesproreview.com/beyerdynamic-dt-990-pro/); however, I'm not sure if I can use it with the Stadia controller. I'm not sure how I can use it on Stadia; I want to test the sound quality of these headphones with Stadia games.P Please help  I couldn't find any compatibility-related info in the review.

Hi @sheenar

it "should" work, but witch Ohm Impedance do your BT headphones have? E.g. If you bought the 250 Ohm one, it would be really quite (IMHO, as fare as I know from Smartphones and PCs). If you bought the 60 Ohm or 80 Ohm version, I think it should be have as a "normal" set of headphones.

Nevertheless according to this Reddit post, it might be better to connect the BT to your TV. Normally the wires of BT headphones are really really long

Hey Tobo, Thank you for your response. I have the 80 Ohm version, not sure why the headphones are still not responding. I'll go through the link you shared. Thanks a bunch!

@sheenar you are welcome. Do the headphones work on another audio source?

Your phones should work via the controller?
I have a set of Beyer MMx300 II’s plugging them into the controller and they sound ok and the attached mic works.
because they’re 250 Ohm rated I get the best from them when attaching plugging them into my Creative SoundBlaster G6 DAC. But they’re still usable on Stadia!

Part of me wishes that Google had an AppleTV like device box. Small. With HDMI out and an optical out for plugging in with DAC’s etc. The CCU is good but not being able to Bluetooth out to external sound is unfortunate.
