The controllers (I have more than one and none are working) are no longer linking to my stadia account through the chrome web browser. I put in the code listed in the browser when you click on the controller icon in the upper-right of the screen and it registers on the controller, but does not actually link to the chrome browser. I have done this every day for two weeks and it has worked fine until today. I tried it with two different controllers, both fully charged, and I get the same result.
Hey @Colt_Burkhardt,
sorry to hear you encountered issues now to connect your controllers to Stadia with the Chrome Browser.
I would recommend here to first try wired and wireless connection and also the troubleshooting steps on the very bottom of this article. Maybe this will help to fix your issue.
If it doesn't help, you can also try some Chrome Browser TS steps and see if those are helping. Best would be to try again to link the controllers after each step to see if that solved the issue.

Hi,
I have had the same problem recently (details in this post from yesterday).
Try the following, which works for me:
Obviously this is not an optimal long-term solution. Deleting all browser data or reinstalling Chrome would be massively inconvenient for me, so I hope there's some other real solution.
I have this same issue with my new controller. It connects fine to chromecast ultra, but can't connect up to Chrome Browser. Tried the steps mentioned in this thread but still not working - it will only connect to a laptop/desktop with the USB cable. When trying wirelessly, the controller thinks it's connected but Chrome never updates to show a controller is connected.
Anyone else experiencing this issue and has any suggestions other than the 2 existing replies above?
I had the same issue and it ended up being that I was connected to my VPN.
This worked for me!
Strangely managed to get it working (partly). I need to do more testing. My WiFi is BT and I have Smart Hub 2 plus a disc extender for my office. All out of the box BT setup, no tinkering.
When both controller and laptop are on the disc exterder it works fine. When both are on the hub, it doesn't. Looking in BT app I can see them using 5Ghz and established a connect fine. Will post back when I know more
The controller is now connecting fine to all devices. Unfortunately I'm not 100% sure what fixed it but it could either be something Google have done as I noticed a few updates to the Stadia home page, specifically for the controller connection bit. One other thing I've done is to change my SkyQ setup to work on a different 5GHz channel and at 40MHz as I heard in the sky forums that the SkyQ mesh can cause interference. That may also explain why I only had issues in certain areas of my house (same room as SkyQ Box). Worth a try if you experience similar issues. Good luck! Cheers
This solved the issue for me. Could not connect to a browser - Edge or Chrome and controller would just ignore the code. Changed the 5Ghz band to 40 Mhz and it solved it!
