Hi guys we have just switched from “Talk Talk” fibre (using the router that stands up & looks like a radio set),which quite frequently would freeze me out of missions(Destiny2), whilst the game kept on playing & I would have to wait for the app on my phone to disconnect and restart, really annoying when near the end of a weekly objective; but I put up with it!
We have now moved to Shell Energy super fibre plus giving us (51.4 Mbps download
7.57 up just checked), utilising the Technicolor DWA0120 Router, but the game play is good when its running; but I keep getting the “YAYY” connect a controller message(it can be working fine, then bang it seems like the controller becomes unresponsive and won’t work).I try resetting the Stadia App etc. I just can’t rely on turning it on and it working! Never used to be the case, please could you advise on settings for the Router/controller. I have tried to reset the controller and set it back up, worked for a while then next time it, needed doing again(so I did all the procedure again leaving phone blue tooth on).
Any help grateful Thanks Ian.
Hi BigEyan01,
Are you using the Stadia controller?
I am not familiar with that specific router, but can you confirm that you don't have QoS turned on in your router settings? Whilst you're there, I'd also set up Port Switching for ports 44700 to 44899 for both TCP/UDP traffic.
