R2 button sends random responses

Since day 1 from time to time my remote seems to get stuck pressing the R2 button, not physically but just the response. I will try to record a video next time but basically everything else works but in Destiny it keeps aiming all the time, same with Tomb Raider or Gylt, and it´s very annoying.

Even shutting down stadia and the remote doesn't work, but eventually starts working after a few hours.

Has anyone else experienced something similar?

I haven't, yet... but it does sound like a physical problem to me. What I would try first is to exercise the button by really jamming on it hard repeatedly for a while and see if that fixes it/loosens up whatever it might be catching on inside. Sounds counter intuitive but give it a try. If that doesn't do it, then I think you ought to get in touch with support to have it replaced.

That is exactly my problem, I just hope they can send me a founder's replacement

I've contacted google and got a free controller, but not the founders edition though.

I will try to open it and fix it on my own as described on the previous link.
