Hi! Pushing Lpad forward and applying pressure (like when you want to “run fast” in destiny) creates squeaking. I’m about to return a controller due to this but my other controller has also started to do this. Have anyone else had the same experienced with controller? Is this acceptable? It’s annoyingly loud.
@BobSacamano : No, so far I've not encountered this with either of our controllers. They are still under warranty, 2 years IIRC for the UK, but it might be different for other countries.
Raise a case with Google support and they should be able to sort you out on this.
I've uploaded a youtube video on the squeaking. I apologize for my poor video shooting skills. Not sure if I can embed te video in this message, or how to do so so I'll just post the link below. @Mad_Dog_Bravo please have a look.
I guess that if I'm having this issue with two controllers, others must too.
I'm no "200 pound gorilla" (to Quote AvE), so I haven't broken them by applying excessive pressure. The controller works but its a loud an irritating noise.
I'm not used to console gaming so please enlighten me if this is supposed to be this way.
@BobSacamano : Thanks for the video confirming your issue. I can confirm that I do not have the same behavior with either of my two controllers.
Raise a case with Stadia Support either request a callback or chat with a support agent via the URL https://support.google.com/stadia/contactflow they will be able to point you in the correct direction to initiate a return/replacement.
It is something that I will keep an eye/ear out on, but so far no issues to report with our controllers.
