No headphones work

Okay. So, this is starting to grate heavily. I have used two different 3.5 mm headsets and two different usb-c adapters, AS WELL AS just now using a brand new pair of actual usb-c headphones and NOTHING works with the Stadia for me. And I have two different Stadia controllers to boot! None of these options work and I'm not spending any more money until I get some answers.

Please....do I need a specific kind of headphone/headset to work with stadia controllers? The two headsets I used, kind of work, but the playback is nothing but audio and static, and my mic *barely* picks up. The two usb-c adapters I used did NOTHING when I used them, but on other devices they worked fine.

Can someone please help me with this?

@MadPanda How are you playing the game? Is it through computer, phone, or chromecast? If it's computer, which browser are you using and are you connecting using cable or wireless?

I just tried it wirelessly playing through my computer browser and it works just fine. When you plug in your 3.5mm headphone to your controller, do you see a message on the screen something like 'controller connected'? If you did, can you try clicking shift + tab and see if you can see the audio setting? This is through computer browser btw.

Another thing you can do, can you try to use the controller to play using your phone, or chromecast and see if the audio is working? Just trying to make sure it's not hardware defect.

Hi @MadPanda, have you had a chance to investigate Ivan's suggestions? Please update when you are able.

I can confirm that USB-C wired headset plugged into the controller (direct, no adapter) does not work when wirelessly pairing to either the Chromecast or PC using Chrome browser.

The headset is getting power from the controller, LEDs light up, mic mute button light functions, but no audio signal.

No message appears on either CCU or Chrome confirming that headset/mic are connected.
