I'm trying to use Stadia on my Pixel 2. I have the controller plugged into my phone with the USB-C cable that came with my phone. The Stadia app does not recognize that I have a controller plugged in and continues to ask me to plug one in.
The Pixel is charging off the controller but I can't seem to actually use it. Has anyone else had similar issues?
I'm having the same exact problem with trying to link my controller to a pixel 3.
Does anyone know the fix yet?
It sounds silly, but have you tried rebooting both the phone and the controller?
I fixed my issue! You can log out of Stadia on the TV completely and then connect the controller to the pixel using the USB-C cable. After you connect it, you then turn the Phone version of Stadia on only and then connect the controller that way. (Must make sure that the TV version is off when you do this step). Hope this helps!

@TheWebTech Have you tried turning the controller off and back on again while connected to the phone?
Yes, didn't seem to have any effect. Tried even biting up the controller at different points in time. Like when the game requests a conteoller or before or after opening the app. No effect
