is it possible that someone else can hack your stadia controller when you are using it while playing it because when I am playing red dead redemption 2 or any other games on Google Stadia
I am riding my horse then all of sudden my horse would stop moving same goes when I am running I don't know if other people are having this problem or issue.
I had this once or twice a couple of months back playing DBD. I think it is more of a sync or connection issue, I'd really doubt it is "hacked' in any way. My controller is connected via 5GHz while the CCU and my PC are connected via cable. If your WiFi setup allows and is stable enough I'd always go for 5GHz over 2.4GHz due to the higher bandwidth and lower latency, but I understand that this may not be an option for everyone.
With 2.4GHz you should also consider WiFi congestion. The majority of households use 2.4GHz, therefore I strongly recommend to scan Wifi in your house and select a channel that is least crowded and has least overlaps. Also dont use 40Hz channel bandwidth, while this increases your throughput in theory, in reality -specifically if the WiFi band is too crowded already - will rather result in random desync or disconnects. Also, do you have multiple WiFi access points in your network using the same SSID? Maybe your controller is jumping APs also causing a minor desync/disconnect?
I hope this helps resolving your issue in some way. Good luck,
@NoNamePerson I've never heard cases anyone hacking someone's controller remotely, not only in Stadia, but for other platform as well. What you're experiencing most likely is latency issue, whether it's caused by network/internet issue, or if you're using wireless controller, the disruption in the wireless connection. Have you checked if maybe if you're controller is running out of battery?
I doubt it is a hack. Could you let us know how you play Stadia?
Are you playing on the TV with a Chromecast or on your laptop/phone? And do you play with the controller connected to WiFi or using a cable?
If you are using the Stadia controller with WiFi it can be worth checking if your Stadia controller is connected to a WiFi 2.4GHz network. The reason U ask is because the Stadia controller does have some problems when connected to a 5GHz WiFi network. ![]()
Both my TV and my tablet my controller is connected to the wifi 2.4 and the battery is full always
