So I have had Stadia since November and the same thing happened when I first bought it. The chromecast ultra and the controller would not update on my wi-fi (had to connect to a hotspot and then switch it back to the wifi to play). Well, with the latest controller update, it wont update the controller again. I don't want to have to keep using a hotspot to update. NOTE: Our Google Home's will not update on our wifi either and our Home Display is current giving the "fetching update 0%" thing then fails. It is something with Google products being blocked on our wi-fi....any help is appreciated.
ROUTER: ASUS GT-AX11000
THINGS CHECKED/TRIED:
Any other ideas? I saw someone mention that some routers are blocking Google IP addresses. How would i check that or change it? Thanks in advance.
@dano9258 It might help to make sure your router is configured to use Google DNS (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4) instead of whatever is provided by your ISP. That can often fix issues like this one.
@codesplice tried that, didn't help
@dano9258 Any VPNs or proxies in use?
@codesplice no. Someone responded to turn off PMF which I did. But now I have to wait for another update as I updated both using hotspot when I couldn't figure it out yesterday.
@dano9258 I'll admit that I had to Google that one. ![]()
Hopefully that does the trick as I'm kind of running out of ideas. Please do let us know!
