Controller blinks white after using linking code, but then it shuts down after 10 seconds. This happens a lot and other times it goes smoothly, I use the code, get a vibration and white light and a message on my Google Chrome page that the controller is connected.
why is this happening?
I use 2,4ghz and tried reseting via the app and restarting Chrome.
@aimé With the controller turned off and the browser displaying the linking code, turn the controller on and enter linking mode by holding the Stadia button for 3 seconds. You should then be able to enter the code successfully.
It seems that holding the button for that extra second or so after the controller turns on can help to avoid issues where the controller tries to automatically connect with a previously-linked screen.
Let me know if that's still not working and we can dig a bit deeper.

Hi
Thank you for your help.
I’ve used only one screen/browser so far. So normally that can’t be the issue.
Since today, my controller connects correctly everytime after I use the linking code. The issue seems to be gone...(for the time being)
@aimé I'm glad to hear it's working! I've got multiple controllers so I typically only link each of them with one screen, but I've still found it helpful to put the controller into linking mode each time I wish to use it just to be sure. I've never had a controller refuse to connect when doing it that way, and it's only a very minor extra step.
I’ll keep that in mind, thanks a lot! @codesplice
