Hey there!
afaik, there aren't any specifications about how long the battery should last.
But I think 5 hours is about how long it last, while constantly gaming.
you can always continue playing while it is charging though!
On PC you can just play with the controller on a cable, and on CCU you can continue playing while the controller is charging :slightly_smiling_face:

I hope this answers your question!

The only thing I'm missing with playing on CCU is a console, lol :face_with_tongue:
With ps4 I plug in the controller in the ps4 to charge. To charge the Stadia Controller I will need to find a power outlet and my cables are just not that long haha too bad

Roses are red, Gaming is fun. You are carrying too much, to be able to run!

It took my controller 5 hours to charge from depleted to full. I could then play 7 hours straight before it was telling me low battery.

I had no headset connected (i believe it will drain the battery faster because of sound and chat through 3.5mm) during this time.

I would say, fully charged, running headphones, on 5g Network, I get about 5-6 hours, that's with not ever charging whilst using as they advise against that. It's not especially brilliant battery life, but being wifi and handling audio I think it is acceptable, it is worth buying a spare a charge in rotation for long sessions.
