Controller rumbles every so often when shutdown and plugged into usb for charging.
How can i stop this?
@Ize402 it might be good to test charging with the provided adapter, even if it would be in a less convenient location. My hunch is that the TV's port might be sending some sort of data signal which periodically wakes the controller. Charging direct from a wall plug adapter would help to isolate that to see if the behavior continues.
@LoFiMonk The pulsing orange light indicates that the controller may be struggling to connect to your WiFi network. Try holding the Stadia button for ~8 seconds to turn it off and see if it will charge normally that way.
@Ize402 I've not noticed this; in fact mine has been charging silently next to me for the past hour or two.
Is yours plugged into the charger or a USB port on your computer?
It's plugged into TV's usb port, using the same cable as i use to charge my Switch controllers.
(Just don't have any other plugs or other USBs available around my setup given the number of consoles, tvs and audio equipment using the 12 currently there)

Tested with charging through multiple devices and seems the rumbles depend on what its plugged into.
1. Charger directly into mains, no issues.
2. PS4, only rumbles when system is initially turned on but not whilst in use or when off.
3. Switch dock, rumbles appear random (never turned it on / woke it up)
4. A Samsung Tv random vibrates (cant remember if tv was on/off)
5. A Sony Tv, no issues ever when on or off or turning on/off.
Having the same issue. I'm using the charging block and cable that came with the controller. keeps vibrating while charging and showing orange pulsing light.

Hi everyone,
This is an older post so we're going to go ahead and lock it now. If anyone still needs help after trying the suggestions here, I'd recommend creating a new post so that you can get better visibility in our community.
Thank you,
