Connecting controller to chomecrast wired

Hi.

I think I have a problem with the controller.

I can link the controller without problem with chromecast using wifi, but if after the connection I change the chromecast a wired connection (how describe in the help to get a more stable connection), the controller disconnect and I only make the linking again, turnning off the controller and using the wifi.

Is it possible to connect the controller to a wired chomecrast? Both are connected to an access point connected to the router.

Is there some way to maintain the link between sessions and don't have to introduce the linking code each turning on the controller and the chromecast?

Thanks in advance.

No , I'm pretty confident USB to Chromecast connection is not possible. Wired is just for browser on PC or smartphone.

Bummer, I know, but maybe you can improve the controller connection with Stadia's tips? Using 5G WiFi preferably dedicated, no other devices connected to that WiFi and having your access point connected to modem/router with Ethernet cable. Also connect the Chromecast to with Ethernet to that access point

The Stadia controller can only be used with Chromecast wirelessly. This isn't to be confused with whether or not the chromecast itself has a wireless or wired network connection, that has no bearing on the controller operation.

Thanks for the answers.

I must have expressed myself badly. This is I want to make: Also connect the Chromecast to with Ethernet to that access point

Each time, I connect the Chromecast to Ethernet, the controller lost the link, it shows the code of link in the TV. I have to turn off the controller, disconnect the Chromecast from the Ethernet and turn on the controller and link with the Chromecast.

Best regards.

I have exactly the same problem and we are encouraged to us a wired connection for best bandwidth but as soon as the ethernet is connected the chromecast seems to turn off all WiFi and loose the controller. Come on Google, this product needs more updates? Some of the most fundamental things still don't work properly?!!

I'm sorry you have the same problem but I am not the only one. I hope we have a soon answer but the moment total silence.

Still having problems? The disconnect upon connecting sounds like your access point might function as a router and is giving out its own IP addresses.

Maybe check if the DHCP-server options are turned off on the access point.

Also, reboot the Chromecast after connecting the cable before continuing to play. And maybe a factory reset for the controller.

Best

Thanks for the help. I have already tried all of that and still no dice.

The wireless controller will not connect to the Wifi if the Chromecast is hard wired - its all perfectly set up from a networking point of view already.

That's very strange, I can't think of a reason for that to happen. You could check if you have PnP enabled, not sure if it affects Stadia, but it affects connections to gaming consoles sometimes.

Anyways, frustrating to hear your connection doesn't work like it's supposed to. Let's keep our fingers crossed for bug fixes and patches...

I have a wired connection with my Chromecast setup, and only experienced disconnect once, coincidentally that was yesterday. As long as it doesn't happen on a regular basis, I bet it was just a fluke..

Luckily as I don't use the 4K option it seems that Wifi is plenty good enough for it to work perfectly, so no biggie.

Thanks anyway.

The problem persists, I don't think it is a problem of the router it is configured in AP mode and the wireless and wired connection are made to this router (it is a Tenda using 192.168.0.*.* network).

I think it is a problem of the Chromecast because when I make the wired connection and the controller loose the link, if I turn off and on the controller and I introduce the code link, the controller looks to make the connection but the Chromecast stay the same.

I hope they resolve the problem sooner.

Hi. I changed the main router in my home and now I can have wired connection if I connect the cable to the AP. However, when I try to play a game, the game doesn't recognize the controller. I can use it in Stadia without problem but the games show: connect a controller. Can someone help me? Thanks in advance
