What is really a downside for me is the extreme long charging time of the battery. Every time i recharge the controller, it takes 4 hours minimum (at average 4 and a half) until the orange light turns off.
Is this normal, or do i have a faulty device? I use the charger that came with the controller, connected to the wall.
How long does it take for a full charge for you? I thought maybe it needs recalibration or something, so i played until the less than ten percent info came ingame. But now it is charging almost 5 hours and didn't finish yet.
Would it help to use a different charger?
Hello @Cola1979, it seems that your charging time is about the same as mine. I have indeed used several charging cables and bricks (MacBook Pro charger tried) with the same charging time throughout the board. Honestly it doesn't hinder my gaming as I can simply continue by connecting my Stadia controller to my computer to get charged while playing. On the go, I usually take along a portable charger that supports fast charge and can last a while.
Cool thing about Stadia is that you can still play with a none Stadia controller, for example I got the Razer Kishi for iPhone for mobile gaming. Ideally, I would like to play Stadia on a Galaxy Z Fold 2. Any players out there have this? Please let us know your experience as I am interested.
Just received my Stadia Premiere box (chromecast + controller) today, can confirm my first charge is seemingly at 4 hours and the orange light still hasn't turned off. I'll be SUPER bummed if this isn't expected because it would mean I received a bad unit.
IF this is to be expected we really need Stadia to make a declarative stance on the matter.
EDIT: Well.. my impatient soul was impatient, the light went off finally! Will update this comment with any additional issues/comments if I have any.
