I disabled the linking code on my Chromecast ambient mode because I dont want it to burn in my oled TV.
This seems to have made it so i cant cant link with the code anymore.
If i show it i can use it again.
Is this expected, and/or something that will be fixed?
Well, if you can't see the code how would you use it? I don't think the code always remains the same for the device forever, does it? I've honestly not paid attention to it.
Mine has never changed since launch. Even after i hid it and shown it again.
I don't see why i should be forced to show it on my TV to be able to link my controller with it. I know it's not a technical limitation at least.
Same issue here and it definitely feels like a bug. Just like @Buang I don't want to risk burn-in from the code in ambient mode, and I remember the linking code but the controller won't connect with it unless the code is showing on the Chromecast. I don't want to have to toggle the showing/hiding of the linking code everytime.
