I tried to capture a video clip the other day on Ben 10: Power Trip and it resulted in a blank 30 second video. Anyone else had this issue before? I've captured many clips with no issues previously.
@LovecraftTapes This never happened to be. Has it always been like this when you take screen capture for the game? I know some games don't let you take screen recording due to spoiler issue, but I never really thought about how it works for Stadia. Can you try to launch other games and see if you're able to take screen recordings? Just want to make sure the root cause is not your device.
Hey everyone,
First off, thanks to @Ivan for his help on this post. @LovecraftTapes, did you have a chance to look into his suggestions? Please keep us posted when you can.
Best,
James
Hi, James! I'm not convinced Ivan read my post in its entirety, so their response wasn't very helpful. As it stands now, this is the *only* video capture (using the capture button on the Stadia controller, obviously) that has resulted in a blank video. I thought perhaps it would "process" after some time, but it's still blank. I was able to capture video previously (as I stated in OP) and have captured video since. I have not tried to capture any other videos for this particular game, however—primarily because the devs did not include an invert Y axis settings in options, so I can't fully play it until they update it...whenever that might be.
Hey @LovecraftTapes,
The Y axis problem is totally understandable. I normally run into this issue when I'm playing some sort of flight simulator game. Funnily enough, I can never remember which setting feels more natural to me, which may lead me to believe that I'm just not very good at those kind of games period
. As for the video capture issue, like @Ivan said I've also never run into that specifically. However, we appreciate you bringing it up and we'll make sure to keep an eye out to see if it occurs with any of our other Stadians.
Thanks,
James
Hi everyone,
We just wanted to check in one more time in case anyone else has any follow up questions or comments. If not, we'll go ahead and close this topic in another 24 hrs.
Thank you,
James
