3.5mm Headset oddity.

Jump to Best Response

I get corrupted audio if I plug my headset in after Stadia is already running a game. Sounds are distorted and even missing.  Goes back to normal if I unplug the headset. I have to shut down Stadia and restart it with the headset plugged in and then they work fine. Weird I can't just plug and play with my headset.

Hey, thanks for posting your problem. Maybe we can sort it out and help others as well.

It could help to put your controller into DMZ/exposed host mode in your router settings. That helped some users in the past, including me :slightly_smiling_face:

Can you report back if that helped?

I didn't use the DMZ on my router. I have two controllers and added them both to managed devices. Then I added them as a trusted PC using the controllers IPv4 address. Loaded up Destiny 2 and so far no more corrupted audio when plugging/unplugging my headset. Seems to be ok now. I will keep trying to recreate the sound issue with both controllers and different games. Not sure if my router will allow multiple DMZ's and I'm hoping to not have to. All in all not a game breaker. So quick to load anything, i
