As many allready have a Chromecast ultra and some bluetooth controller ... it would be great if the Stadia app could bridge a paired bluetooth controller to stadia cloud via its wifi.
So by essentially using your phone as "wifi adapter" would enable playing on TV through chromecast ultra with the controller of your choice, instead of the proprietary one.
Getting tired of having to plug the laptop to hdmi and play through chrome just to enjoy the livingroom tv ...
Currently yes, its either pc or phone with hdmi attached. To use chromecast only stadia controller is accepted.
If they instead allowed stadia app to relay input from bluetooth to cloud via wifi, people could use their chromecasts with other controllers without having to fiddle with cables to play on TV.
Currently this is only way to use chromecast:
Stadia controller (wifi) ---> cloud ---> chromecast
And this is the requested way:
3rd party controller (bt) ---> phone app ---> cloud ---> chromecast
Maybe this made things clearer?
Yes, thanks. But, I graduated college after studying computer science. It's not that I'm unclear on what you wanted to do, I guess I meant to ask you what issues you have with the Stadia controller?
This is a good idea. Someone requested this idea connecting peripherals (i.e. mouse & keyboard) to the controller, but it may work better/easier to use connection to the app via smartphone instead. Send feedback!
