Good afternoon,
I'm having an issue where the Stadia app keeps closing on my Pixel 3 within 5 seconds. The following are the troubleshooting steps I've done
1. Uninstall the app and reinstall the app (Fail)
2. Uninstall the app, restart the phone, reinstall the app (Fail)
3. Clear Cache and Storage. Open then once I log in shuts down after 5 seconds (Fail)
4. Update/Uninstall Webview app and restart (Fail)
Any help would be appreciated, Trying my best to not have to factory reset my phone
@GOMAB Hmm, maybe take it a step further and also clear data for the Google Play Services app? I don't know for sure if/how the Stadia app interacts with Play Services but I've seen similar issues with other apps in the past when the Play Services data got corrupted somehow.
@GOMAB Do you have any issues with other apps crashing? And am I correct in understanding that the app only crashes once you log in to it with your Google account? Anything weird about that account?
@codesplice No other app is doing this. The account is fine . It works with the chromecast and on the laptop. I can't test on another phone. I tried removing Android webview but no luck.

@codesplice Clearing the Google play storage and resetting seemed to fix the issue. Thank you so much!!!
@GOMAB Whew, glad to hear it! I wasn't sure what else to suggest. ![]()
For me too. Im on a pixel 3 xl android 11 latest security patch i have to use chrome browser in desktop mode for it.
@BRAWNYSWORD86 Can you see if clearing the Google Play Services storage and rebooting works for you too?
No dice could be android beta issues i suppose but im not winding back. Shouldn't be an option issue Google device Google service google everything. Basically its mis sold and not fit for purpose so technically i could sue.
@BRAWNYSWORD86 It's working fine for me on my Pixel 3 with Android 11 and my 4XL with Android 12 beta. And it seems to be working for the vast majority of other users. I suspect it's got to be something screwy on your device. Sometimes things get out of whack. I'm quite certain that factory resetting your phone and setting it up again would correct the problem, but I think we can probably find a less destructive solution with a bit of effort.
Have you also tried all the same troubleshooting steps that @GOMAB posted about in the first post? Those are much the same steps suggested in this Pixel help center article and should at least provide a good start.
