I have over a dozen games on stadia and just got my hands on Red Dead Redemption 2 while on sale. Been playing and trying to enjoy, but I'm missing lots of dialog due to the sound going in and out. I have an ethernet gigabit connection and wireless headphones that don't have this issue when using any other app or steaming site (video or audio). Could it just be overwhelmed servers during the weekend?
Hello @Mr_Covington
Is this only happening with the Red Dead Redemption 2 game, or does it also happen for other games (assuming all other conditions are equal)?
If it happens for all games, are you using the Stadia controller? If so, is it connected to your WiFi at 5GHz? If so, are your wireless headphones "gaming" style surround sound headphones with their own transmitter? If so, these often use a chunk of the 5GHz spectrum in a way that can interfere with 5GHz WiFi (and vice versa). If, on the other hand, your Stadia controller is connecting to WiFi at 2.4GHz, and your headphones are Bluetooth (which runs in the 2.4GHz band), you may be seeing interference there as well.

Sorry for the late response, I didn't think anyone was ever gonna respond. I'm actually using an XBOX One wireless controller and sony wh-1000xm4 headphones.
Hello @Mr_Covington
It looks like that wireless controller and those headphones are both operating in the 2.4GHz band. The headphones are using Bluetooth, and I'm pretty sure the controller will be as well (assuming you have it paired with a computer). If that's the case, they shouldn't be interfering with each other, but it's not impossible. They will be interfering with any 2.4GHz WiFi devices in the area. I would try to do some testing to see if you can narrow things down. I'd start by connecting a wired controller first and then see if the audio issue continues. Then, I'd try connecting wired headphones and test that way. I'd also make sure the computer is connected to your network using 5GHz instead of 2.4GHz (or better yet, Ethernet). Basically, you may just need to eliminate all the wireless links in your system and then start adding them back in one at a time to figure out where the source of the issue is.
Hi @Mr_Covington, I've marked @JohnZoidberg's response as a Best Response because it offers some helpful insight. Please let us know if you continue experiencing the issue so we can dig in further.
Same issue here using stadia controller with Google TV; it comes and goes throughout whilst not unplayable it's really irritating
