Hi everyone,
Most of the time, my Stadia controller is unable to sync with the app (Android). It's working perfectly on Chrome or Chromecast but when I am using the app, the controller can't sync.
I enter the code, the led turns white and no blinking, but few seconds after, the controller vibrate and the led turns orange and blink. I'm on a Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e.
Does anyone have the same issue ?
Hey @Mogoz,
this might happen, because your device is not supported for Stadia. In that case I would recommend to try to enable the experimental mode and see if that works better with your controller:
Hi @Chufu !
Thank you for your answer. I don't think the list is up to date because on my S5e and P20 Pro, "Play on this device" option is disabled and I can see this message "Your device is already compatible".
Ah okay, even better then, when your device is supported by now!
But as you still have issues with linking your controller to the Stadia app, it might be an idea if you walk through these troubleshooting steps. Try after each step again if that solved the issue.
Apart from that you could also reset your controller, but you mentioned it works with Chromecast and browser and only with the Stadia app you encounter problems, so the issue might not be the controller itself.
You can also get in contact with the Stadia team for further troubleshooting steps.
I'm having the same issue - were you able to find a solution?
My controller seemingly worked fine for a few months, but when I changed modems and was forced to reboot my wifi, it randomly desyncs. Weird thing is it works for a few minutes after launch without even asking me to put the directional code in, then it desyncs and doesn't register when I do put the code in - I just get some buzzing and then orange lights like you did.
Other strange thing is when I hit the central "Stadia" button, it shows my controller as being linked. All wifi and network info is up to date on all devices, it just keeps desynching after a few minutes of playtime
