When I'm using stadia on my mobile (xiaomi Mi 10t pro) I no longer have the option of using the virtual touch controls. The stadia app seems to think that i have attatched a dualshock (ps4) and will not give me the option.
When i connect my dualshock, the app think I have 2, both showing up the same way. Also, the dualshock does not work correctly when connect ed, I cant get past the "press any button" screen on destiny 2 (possible keybinding issue). Not sure if this is related to the issue with having the "ghost" controller attatched.
I have tried turning off bluetooth, deleting data from stadia app, un- and re-installing the stadia app and removing any thing I can find related to controller in any android settings. I have also tried using the stadia app far away from any bluetooth controllers, just in case my phone was connecting without me realizing it.
Any help in removing the "ghost" controller from the stadia app, so that i can get the option of using the virtual touch controller, would be apreciated.
Hi @IamSnah, thanks for writing about this. This is the first such report I have seen on a ghost gamepad. I would suggest uninstalling and reinstalling the app to see if that resolves the issue. If that does not, please reach out to our support team for additional help.
Have you tried to also remove from Android Bluetooth paired device the old pad?
I have only one controller, and it is removed. When I add it (stadia then thinks i have 2 connected controllers), I am then able to remove it. Stadia app is the only thing on my phone that thinks I have a connected controller.

Thanks for the feedback.
I have tried this several times, and will reach out to the support team.
Hi, were you able to solve the issue? I am experiencing exactly the same on my poco F3
Hey there jororo,
It looks like this thread is pretty old, go ahead and make a new thread, so we can help you out with your issue. I'm going to go ahead and lock up this thread.
Best regards,

I am having the exact same issue on my Xiaomi Poco F3 (MIUI 12.5.1 android 11). I have a phantom PS4 controller that shows up in my Stadia app but nowhere else. I have never linked it and don't possess one. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app but the controller reappeared. Virtual controls are not accessible though I'm only able to play via experiments, so fair enough. It looks like a bug in the app, I have checked bluetooth settings on my phone, devices in my google account, all kinds of security issues and everything looks normal, there is no sign of a ps4 controller ever being coupled to my device. I have 2FA via authenticator and extremely strong passwords.
