I'm using stadia on my chromecast with google tv. Unfortunately I don't have surround sound.
When I'm using stadia with my chromecast ultra, surround sound works fine.
Is this issue known? Is it an issue of the app or of chromecast with google tv?
When can I expect that this issue will be solved. Because it's annoying to swith the sound settings everyone when I'm playing or watching a movie.
Thank you in advance.
Hi @HerrBaer,
I fixed my surround by editing the settings within the Chromecast TV.
Within the Display & Audio settings I changed the Advanced audio settings and enabled Dolby Digital and Dolby Digital Plus.
My sound system supports both. ![]()
Maybe worth a shot manually enable the audio formats your set supports.

Hi @RXShorty
thank you for your answer. I also changed the sound settings to manual and choose DD. This is the only sound format which is supported by my old Philips HTS.
As I wrote before, it worked well when I'm using chromecast ultra. So the question is, which sound format came from the chromecast ultra and is this supposed by the stadia app for Google TV.
