I have a Pixel 4a and 3a. Since yesterday, my app crashes when I try to connect to a Chromecast Ultra TV. I've been a Pro member since May 2020 and haven't had an issue recently. I searched the boards but it seems that it affects my account. I am able to play on the laptop and phone but no go on the CU. Does anyone have the same problem? I was hoping there was an update I missed or an update to Pxl UI that interfered with the app. Hope to hear from @StadiaTeam
Went back to my 4a after using my 3a for starting Stadia. Seems it resolved itself after an update either from the app or Chromecast dongle. Hopefully, it issue doesn't return.
@rooster_nyc Which phone are you using for your app, and what's the Stadia app version? Can you check the app from the store and see if there's any update pending? If yes, try to update to the latest version first and see if it's still giving you the same issue.
Did you try clearing the cache of the Stadia app?
You can do this like with every app within Android.

I'm having exactly the same problem for 2 weeks now. I have a galaxy s20+. It seems to be an android issue because I tried to launch the game on the chromecast with the phone of my roommate and it works.
I already tried to clear cache, uninstall the app, reboot my phone and reset my phone and I'm using the last version of the app.
Please remember to mark this thread as solved. @rooster_nyc
You can mark your post as the solution since you found it out on your own. This makes it easier for others with the same issue.
I'm afraid the problem came back again after one day working. Still haven't resolved the issue yet.
That's strange. So it is kind of caching issue then?
Does it always crash?
Or only if you are connected to your wifi?
And does it give some kind of message?
How about the permissions that the app has?
Sorry for all the questions. ![]()
It never work for me. The app just crash after a few second when I hit play on the chromecast. On the TV, stadia is starting and display the code to connect the gamepad but without the game loading.
We need more info from you if we are to solve your issue.
And you might need your own thread because you don't seem to have the same issue @Scenat.
