Hi all, is there a way to force the app to behave as if using mobile data? I'm trying to play on my tablet using my phone as hotspot and the latency and data use is just huge, while using the phone directly works just fine.
Thanks!
Hello @Maupamo
I'm not aware of an option that enables this, but it seems like a good idea to me. Please send feedback to Google in the Stadia app requesting support for this. If enough people ask, they may prioritize it.

This is absolutely an issue. Grab my phone and start stadia, loads straight into a game. Grab my tablet and turn on hotspot, exact same internet and the game times out saying it's a poor connection.
Not an issue for me.
If you add a bridge, sure it takes more time. That's not exactly the same connexion.
E.G. when you share your mobile connexion with a computer, you will always have greater result through USB-Sharing than over WiFi.
It's not as easy as just turning on a hotspot and expecting the same quality. You're attempting to supply internet to a device through another device. This adds a whole new pathway your connection needs to go through to send input and receive the stream. It's not so much a Stadia issue, but more a device bottleneck of sorts. The best you can do it use a device that can create a stronger hotspot or simply connect to the internet through your tablet directly.
Absolutely correct. Youtube behaves in the same way. Hotspot connection can be terrible, but cellular use loads right up!
Hi everyone,
This is an older post so we're going to go ahead and lock it now. If anyone still needs help after trying the suggestions here, I'd recommend creating a new post so that you can get better visibility in our community.
Thank you,
