I've connected my channel and all that, but never see the option to stream in any of the menus. Is there anything else you need to do?
I've restarted stadia on my chromecast ultra, in case that was it, but when I hit the stadia button, in the list there are no options to stream to my linked youtube channel
@CrankyOldNerd I don't believe you can stream directly from Stadia if you're playing using Chromecast on TV. You need to use Stadia from your computer browser.
Here's more explanation
You can live stream in two ways:
To stream to YouTube, you'll need:
Yes @FriendlyFounder is right.
This should work @DarthVicious & @CrankyOldNerd.
If you start your game on the Chromecast you can login on your PC and just start streaming from there. ![]()

Ah. OK. That wasn't very clear to me for some reason. That's a bummer. Whole point for me was to use the nicer TV/comfy couch vs the computer.
Totally, if the video stream for the game is being generated at Stadia services, what prevents the to also send the same video stream to a YouTube channel?
Stadia keeps falling short on features...
Apparently you can stream from CCU if you start your game on CCU then start the stream from your chrome browser but you don't get the audio from the mic on the stream. I haven't tried it but others that have said it worked.

Hey @RXShorty and @FriendlyFounder , I tried your suggestion and in fact I was able to start a stream from the computer, but the moment I went back to keep playing my session on the CCU the stream was finished. Maybe I did something wrong 🤷
?
In any case, thanks again ![]()
1. Start your game on the CCU as you would normally
2. Go to stadia.com within chrome and go to the live streaming section and you can just start a stream.. the WebUI knows you are in-game and auto-fills the title.
That's it, no trying to launch the game in chrome and switch screens or anything, just launch on the CCU and go to chrome and start the stream.
I think you can do the same on mobile phone by visiting the website in desktop view.
Can confirm this worked for me, and if if I have headphones plugged into the controller, it does capture the headphone audio in the stream as well.
Thanks for the tip!
I still have issues getting mic to be heared on stream like this. Was it a multilayer game you had you headset working on?
I stream pretty often via Chromecast, but I would also like to see an answer to the voice-over-stream issue. I have tried all kinds of combinations (e.g. mic in controller, mic in computer, in party, no party, join party from CCU, join party from computer...)
I tested it last night with my corsair head set straight into controller. Started jedi fallen order on CCU then selected start stream via social tab in chrome on my pc (don't launch game here). The option for 'Game Chat' via CCU was greyed out so no voice sent to my youtube stream. I then tested pubg, game chat in CCU was enabled and my voice did work on youtube stream. Looks like at the moment multilayer games with chat enabled seems to work, which is a shame.
I think you're right. Game Chat seems to stream from CCU, but that's about it. I streamed Destiny 2 yesterday with similar results you described. For the first time ever, Stadia OTW prompted me about streaming from another screen when I initiated the live stream.
