When connected with headset, suddenly no audio

Last weeks I had an audio issue playing with CCU on my tv with headset connected via stadia controller.

Suddenly during the game, no audio from the headset neither from TV after disconnecting the headset from the controller. One time it happened after 1h of playing, some others after 10 minutes. Force closing stadia, restarting it and restarting the game (game session still active) fixed temporarily the issue. Sound back ON. But the issue is still going to be back intermittently, could be after 5 minutes or 10 or 1 hour.

Troubleshooting tried: replaced controller, headset, CCU. Issue still persists.

Really, really annoying.

Hi @darox82,

I'm so sorry that you are having this issue. I know how lame it can be to play without the full auditory experience. I do have a couple of questions I'd like to ask, just to double check and see if we can figure out what may be going on here.

  • What brand and model is the headset that you are connecting?
  • How are you connecting the headset? Via 3.5mm jack or USB-C port?
  • Does this happen in all games you are playing or just a particular game?
  • When you say you replaced all of those items, does that mean you have swapped to completely different devices and the issue still persists? Or did you potentially mean that you have reset all of those devices and the issue still persists?

Let us know the answers to these questions when you get a minute. We are here to help make sure you can have the best Stadia experience possible.

Thank you,

James

Hi again @darox82,

Just wanted to check in one more time to see if you saw my previous response. Have you had a second to think about those questions? Let us know when you can.

Thank you,
