It could have been a bit of a loose connection, who knows. Glad you're up and running now, though.
@frolix8 Just want to make sure, are you using the supplied adapter for power, or are you using the power straight from the TV?

I have the same issue... But pluging out the power supply and waiting a few minutes does not help...
Also factory reset did not help...
Also using the Founders Edition Chromecast Ultra and it's power supply
