Hi, I want to use Stadia via my Chromecast on TV. Everything works just fine but I have a problem when starting a game. Every time I start a game and it displays the start screen that says "Press any key" I literally can press any key and nothing will happen. The screen doesn't freeze, to be clear. The music plays and animations run. But the only thing I can do at this point is closing Stadia/the game and reach to the Stadia menu to the settings etc...And this problem only comes up when I am home and using my own WiFi. Chromecast + controller were tested with a different WiFi and worked fine.
Really frustrating. I hope someone can help.
Hi @Els, thanks for writing in about this. I think, based on your description of events, that the issue might be with your local network. There may be a setting in your router which is interfering with the connection the CCU is establishing with the Stadia service. For additional help, please reach out to our support team.
hm sounds weird, does it work for you when you try using an Ethernet cable and then try again?
Maybe it does also help to reset your router/internet just to be sure?
Good ideas and I tried all these things but the problem unfortunately still persists.
Maybe it's important to mention that this problem also occured when I tried a friend's account and controller on my TV that otherwise always works perfectly fine. So it has to do with either my WiFi connection or my TV. I would confidently assume that my chromecast nor my controller are broken.
