Stadia is having framerate issues in every game I have tried in the last 2.5 hours. Valhalla, skipping so bad it is unplayable. Constant flags internet unstable. Cyberpunk, same. Hotline Miami, same.
I have be 500mbs internet, other devices streaming YouTube TV no problem, playing battlefield 2 no problem at the exact same time. TV I am on is able to steam 4k video, no stutter. It is a Stadia issue.
Maybe I need to reset chromecast? Not sure. I have had certain games at launch have issues... Cyberpunk, but never across multiple games while nothing else has internet issues
@Mucko When these kind of things happen, internet speed is not usually the issue. It's more about bandwidth and latency. Your internet might be able to get 130-150mbps at one point during the test, but if it can't be maintained (due to sharing bandwidth with others at the same time), or getting high latency, it will impact your Stadia experience.
I understand the frustration though as these kind of issues can be tricky to troubleshoot. If you haven't done it, I suggest going through the troubleshooting steps and see if it helps
Troubleshooting your Stadia experience
@Mucko there are definitely times that Stadia might not be performing well due to various reasons. Just curious though, when you were using Stadia, did you have any other streaming/download going on? If yes, that will definitely impact your Stadia performance. It's recommended to not simultaneously use Stadia while streaming/downloading other stuff.
The TV where Stadia is installed regularly pulls 130-150mbs internet even with others in the house streaming YouTube TV. There was no hardcore downloading of games or anything out of the ordinary going on. While I did not test the exact connection yesterday using Speedtest, I was able to log out of Stadia (and unplug it) and immediately stream a 4k video on Netflix with no buffering/stuttering issues.
I am unaware of any requirement to unplug/reset the Stadia Chromecast after any period of days/weeks of use, but perhaps it was having an issue on its own.
