Sound low on Just Dance over sonos

Jump to Best Response

I have a Chromecast with Google tv 2gig fiber wifi running stadia on a Sharp smart tv connected to a Sonos. All apps run great with quality sound except Stadia.  Low sound on just dance and muffled sound on most games. I have max volume on all apps, including Sonos, Google home app, still having sound issues. I have disconnected all other streaming and still bad quality sound. No lag in game play. Any suggestions?

Hi @Texaslawdog

Do you have Stadia Pro? Maybe the surround sound is causing this issues. If you are able please try to play in Stereo (so try forcing your TV or device to use Stereo).
If this resolves issues there is a issue with your surround. Stadia uses PCM audio. :beaming_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Thanks for the tip but no luck. I have all my devices set to pcm audio input. I tried turning surround on and off but still getting the same terrible sound quality. I do have Stadia Pro.

Hi @Texaslawdog
I'm sorry for the delayed response. Have you attempted to do a factory reset on your Chromecast to see if this improves your audio experience? Do you experience this issue on of the other games on Stadia? Let us know when you can.

Thank you,

James
