This morning I noticed the settings icon has been removed from the stadia menu on CCU. It’s been replaced with an Audio icon. Last night I switched off HDR and now have no way of turning it back on. This is annoying. Can one of our fine Stadia community leaders please look into this? Verified now on both chromecasts I have.
@GraceFromGoogle @ChrisFromGoogle Thank you.
Yaaaay! It’s fixed!
Hi @Pogue, could you try restarting your CCU to see if that repairs the problem? If that doesn't fix it, could you please upload a photo of the screen you see?
The icon on the far right is now headphones. Previously it was settings where you turn on/off 4K and HDR. In my case I had previously turned off HDR and because of this change I am unable to turn it back on.
Sorry the photos is sideways. Somehow on upload that happened but I think you get the idea
I have the same problem, and I've tried resetting multiple CCUs, but the options menu is still missing. I'm a Pro subscriber. Here is a screenshot:
I'm also seeing the following message when checking the stream quality: "Data usage may affect your connection quality. Adjust in your Stadia mobile app settings." I thought that was how it used to work before it was updated to be per device instead? Is this a regression?
Doesn't mean this isn't a bug, but I notice when I have headphones plugged into the Stadia controller and playing on Chromecast I get the audio icon in place of the settings gear.
Yaaaay! It’s fixed!
Fixed for me as well, thanks for the quick response Stadia team!
Did you fix it or did Stadia fix it. I have the same issue and it's not fixed for me.
Pretty sure Stadia fixed it. I've been struggling with it for 2 days, and tried a lot of things (factory reset 2 CCUs), but nothing worked. Then I posted here, fired up one of my CCUs an hour later and boom, everything works like it should.
I'll post again if it breaks later.
