Poor Stadia experience all-round / help?

I'm kind of unsure where to post this but just wanted to put it out there anyway. I'm half hoping for a fix and half giving up really.

I've bought Cyberpunk and got the Stadia Premiere edition included, all was well, but not for long. I'm not even going to start about the issues on that game, but I will mention this: I went ahead and tried the pro subscription because MAN did the performance mode look horrid. I was hoping the Pro would properly up my resolution, but it didn't. I should probably mention I'm playing on PC because I don't have a 4K tv. I do however have a 1440p monitor so that's why I tried out the Stadia pro service.

I've tried many solutions found on this forum (inputting a command line before the game starts, running the stadia enhanced plugin, incognito mode obviously) but it would never detect my screen to be a 1440p display. My connection is terrific, 500mbit fiber glass, that's not it.

So, that there is issue number 1.

Number 2: Cyberpunk will only show a black screen on my mobile phone. I try playing it through the app and it just won't do anything else but show a black screen after I click play.

Number 3: the stadia controller. What a major letdown. To be honest, I got this ENTIRE package because of that controller. I was excited to be able to use it on both my phone and pc.  However, it actually won't do anything I want it to. It refused to update at first. Managed to work around that by connecting through my phone's wifi hotspot, I read about that fix on this forum (who could come up with that?).
After solving that though it won't connect to my pc (yes it's on the same internet connection).
I've tried all of the steps on this thread: https://community.stadia.com/t5/The-Stadia-Controller/Stadia-Controller-Won-t-Link-with-Chrome-Brows... - to no avail. So I guess I'll have to just use it wired on my pc? Quite the letdown. It will connect wirelessly to my phone though (Samsung Note 10+), but over there, as mentioned before, Cyberpunk won't start.

I guess if anyone has any great ideas I would like to still try them, but at the same time, I've spent more time troubleshooting than I did playing. I even quit playing Cyberpunk altogether because of the horrible quality, I mean on visual mode it really dips the framerate down and it STILL won't look great. I'm a bit baffled by the many positive reviews about Stadia on the internet because my experience has been a nightmare.

@Twistin I'm sorry to hear that you've had such a poor experience. Let's see if we can help with any of it...

For the first issue, I'm not sure there's a lot that can be done. For a while Stadia did offer a 1440p resolution setting but that seems to have gone away - I don't know if that's a temporary change or a permanent one. In any case, it seems like the officially-supported resolutions jump from 1080p to 4K, and Stadia won't provide you with a 4K stream unless there's a 4K-capable display involved. A 1440p screen will show an upscaled 1080p Stadia stream. There may be some hacks or workarounds for that using browser extensions but I don't have any personal experience with those - and those introduce more variables which can make things harder to troubleshoot and support. So you're kind of on your own there, but I would encourage you to use the Send Feedback option built into the Stadia app to let the developers know you'd really like to have that 1440p option return.

On the second, are you able to launch other games on your phone or do those show a black screen as well? Have you tried clearing the data for the Stadia app to see if that makes any difference? Do you have any apps which might be trying to display an overlay on the screen or capture the screen's content or anything like that?

For number 3, what happens when you try to connect the controller? Does the Stadia web app correctly display a linking code? Can you try powering on the controller and putting it into linking mode at the same time by holding the Stadia button for 3 seconds, and then entering the displayed linking code? If that's still not working, please let me know what (if anything) the controller does - does the light blink, does it vibrate after entering the code, etc.

@codesplice Thank you for your response. It's much appreciated.

It's sad to hear that 1440p is no longer supported. I wasn't able to find that info before I went into my Pro trial period, so I'm glad you were able to clarify that for me.

My phone problem has indeed been resolved by resetting the stadia app. Oddly enough it wouldn't connect my controller when I tried it with a cable the other day. I wasn't anywhere with a wifi connection, so I couldn't try playing wirelessly at that time. Unsure if I still need to change anything in my settings for that to work? Same goes for my Ipad Pro by the way. It would run Cyberpunk beautifully, but when I try to connect the controller with a wire it won't register it.

Over on the computer end, my controller will show a blinking white light, Ill put in the code displayed in my browser and the controller will then buzz twice and shut itself off circa 4 seconds after buzzing. My browser won't show the green animation to indicate a connection was made.

Thanks again for the help so far.
