No audio coming through my tv

I have stadia setup through the chromecast ultra set to my tv and hard wired to my internet modem. When I play any game, there is no audio at all coming through my tv. Both the volume on my tv and the volume on the chromecast is all the way up but there is still no audio. The only way I can get the audio to work is by connecting a headset to the stadia remote.

@Signas92 Do you have any audio devices (speakers, soundbar, receiver, etc) connected to your TV or are you just using the television's built-in speakers?

Is the Chromecast connected directly to the TV or is there anything else in-between?

Can you see if moving the Chromecast to a different HDMI port on the TV makes a difference?

I have the same problem.

I can see YouTube with no problems, but if I play stadia, there's no audio coming out.

@Kevalex Are you using the TV's built-in speakers or some sort of external audio device (soundbar, surround sound, etc.)?

No, I'm not.

And I can watch YT with no problems

@Kevalex So are you using the TV's built-in speakers?

Is the Chromecast connected directly to the TV or is there an HDMI hub or other device involved?

Does the sound work if you connect a headset to the Stadia controller?

Yes is using the TV's built-in speakers

the Chromecast is connected directly (this Chromecast is the new generation, the white one).

Does the sound work if you connect a headset to the Stadia controller? Yes, I just tried.

But this only happens when I play stadia, no in YouTube or other app

Hmm, you wouldn't happen to have another controller you could test with, do you? I wonder if there might be a bit of lint or something stuck in the controller's headset jack and causing it to think a headset is connected even when it isn't.

Maybe shine a flashlight in there to see if you can see anything?
