For the last few days Stadia has been basically unplayable I get constant freezing and failed to start fame errors. It was working great and nothing has changed on my end. This happens on two different Chromecasts
Yeah, restarted the ATT gateway and Nest WiFi no help. But I turned off the setting on the chromcast with google TV for the Wi-Fi always scanning and it works great now. I am not sure what changed the last week or two but it was working fine before then.
Hi @Gizm0,
I moved your support topic to the Stadia on TV board for better exposure. ![]()
Do these issues occur on every game or is it just one?
Any problems using Stadia in a Chrome browser on the same network?
All games have this issue, I have never used Stadia on a browser I will try and up date. My interned is 1000/1000 with speed tests to both Chromecasts 300+. My lowest time on https://gcping.com/ is 45ms.
It sounds kind of silly, but in addition to testing in a browser you might see if restarting your router helps at all.
Hi @Gizm0
As @codesplice suggested, please restart your router/modem.
Your bandwidth seems ok but your 45ms is pretty high for cloud gaming. 20ms or less is ideal, I am afraid 45ms will cause issues. ![]()
45ms has never been an issue before last week, and im a founder so been using Stadia for awhile
Hey @Gizm0,
Just wanted to check in with you to see how things are going. Were you able to able to attempt some of the troubleshooting steps mentioned above?
Thank you,
James

Still can't set the Chromecast with google TV to dolby vision in the HDR settings because it keeps changing the resolution to 1080p not 4k
Hey @Gizm0,
We've seen this come up before in Chromecast forums. Some of our users have found that switching which HDMI port the CCwGTV is connected to enabled the HDR features for them. Another option would be to double check your TV display settings to see if something there may be limiting the visual quality.
Let us know how it goes.
Thanks,
James
