Hey All,
I recently purchased a Stadia controller and Stadia Pro. I use this on my Chromecast with Google TV, unfortunately after playing a game I would then attempt to open another App (such as YouTube).
When I attempt to watch a video via YouTube playback is faster than x1 and there is no audio. I've also attempted to recreate the issue with other Apps such as Spotify and Netflix.
I would have thought each App was sandboxed so they cannot mess with the actual operating system, but this seems to be very weird and easily recreatable behaviour for me.
Any ideas what might be the issue or how I can resolve it?
Thanks in advance
I checked my Chromecast for updates and there are none.
Hi @dmb,
That is some strange behaviour. Did you try uninstalling the Stadia app to see if that resolves it?
If this is not the case I think the best thing you can do is try the Chromecast community as they are more knowledgeable about specific Chromecast Google TV issues.
Hope you will get things fixed. ![]()

Hey @RXShorty
Thanks for the response. It definitely is a weird issue.
I'll post on that other community.
@dmb thanks for sharing!
It is strange the issue is resolved by uninstalling Stadia. ![]()
Yeah,
I have no idea what the issue might be.
Hoping Chromecast guys can push some sort of software update to either Stadia or OS
