I've been having a problem recently with the volume increasing and decreasing randomly while playing any Stadia game on chromecast. I recently got a new soundbar however all other audio sources, including watching shows from hulu and netflix on the same chromecast, work properly.
Symptoms: While playing games at any volume level the volume changes drastically especially noticeable during dialogue. The volume gradually increases to a high level during one sentence then the next sentence could be almost too quiet to hear.
Setup: Chromecast ultra plugged into an LG TV with an optical cable going to a vizio 5.1 soundbar.
Has anyone else experienced a similar issue?
Don't know if it's still relevant, but I have the same issue while playing on PC, no matter if the sound is output through my soundbar or headset. I noticed that it only occurs when the volume in-game increases (e.g. music that gets more energetic, an explosion that gets louder, multiple sound effects played at once), as if there's 'too much audio information' and it gets compressed down, to not tax the connection too much? Would be nice to hear a reason behind this.
