Ethernet video/audio stuttering (great with WIFI)

Jump to Best Response

Hello,

even though I always had good performances via WIFI 5ghz, I dedided to try an ethernet cable.

I constantly see minor video and audio stuttering if I play wired. I also reset the ccu and used just with the cable but nothing has changed. I'm using a 10m cat8 cable, but I also tested a cat6.

I'm not sure about the reason.

Is your CCU connected directly to your router, or through a switch? What brand and model is your router? I ask these questions because I'm only aware of one issue like this that involves connecting a CCU directly into the LAN port on a Nest WiFi Router. In that case, using an inexpensive (unmanaged) switch in between is the recommended workaround. If it's not a Nest WiFi or not connected directly to it, then I would focus on ensuring the cable is well seated on both ends – sometimes removing it and reseating it a few times can help improve the reliability of that connection.
Why not Zoidberg?

Hi there,

That is strange. Did you try a normal reset or a factory reset with the CCU?

A factory reset.

I also tried a different power cable for the ccu (I recently received a 2nd premiere edition with Cyberpunk), but it's the same.

I noticed that I have some minor improvements if I keep the ccu power cable loose, so without keeping it tied with the velcro strap. (I always used tied with the velcro because the TV is super close to the wall socket).

Does anyone have a similar issue?

IT WORKS!

I tried using a switch and it works. The cable was directly connected to the router before. I'm using the router that my IPS provided me it's called Vodafone Station Revolution (specs)

It is really weird but that was the issue.

Thanks a lot!
