Controller connected to Google TV occasionally disconnects

Jump to Best Response

I have been having this issue for a while and it's happened on all the apps I have used where both the remote and controller sometimes freeze I assume it's because the Google TV device is overheating, but I'm making this post to find out if anyone elses controllers or Google TV remotes freeze whilst under heavy use

Thanks

And can is just specify the the controller and the Google TV remote are connected over Bluetooth.

Im assuming the issues is throttling with Bluetooth

I looked through the compatibility settings and I'm using a DualShock 4 over bluetooth with a Google TV are both supported devices however I've noticed that my Google TV still has this delay even when I'm using the supported remote. Has anyone else come across this issue with Bluetooth devices.

Hey @CHROMCASTUser02,

I also have been using the Chromecast with Google TV for the last few months but haven't come across or heard of anyone with that issue. I've put it through the ringer with at least 10+ hours per day of use.  I've occasionally had it disconnect from wifi, but only like twice.  I constantly had that happen with the Chromecast Ultra, like on a daily basis, but I haven't seen that happen with the Chromecast with Google TV.  I'm not entirely sure, but it could be defective because there shouldn't be that lag especially with the remote.

If it's still under warranty, my guess is that getting a new one might be your best bet.  Hope this helps!

Oh really I thought it was normal to have lag on the remote, thanks for telling me this I'll try and get mine replaced.
