Just wondering if we have any news on when the new Chromecast with Google TV will support stadia?and il also wondering that since the new Chromecast has Dolby digital and Dolby digital plus support and various other surround settings if stadia with finally be able output 5.1 without having to use eARC.There are lots of us can't use 5.1 surround sound at the minute because of this
Unfortunately, I didn't see any news on this. We needs to wait on this ![]()

That is some news we all await desperately.
Rumor has it that Stadia will be on Android TV soon, but that's it. Just rumors so far and nothing detailed.
I think it is working already. Here is a link where they are talking about that it officially doesn’t work but that it does. I don’t know anything about these things. I didnt even know what a Chromecast was a month ago and Android TV a few days ago, but it sounds interesting.
Hey Ronald,
Stadia works perfectly fine when sideloaded. I tried that out with my Shield TV Pro.
It just is not officially supported yet.
Not totally perfectly. For first sight seems yes, but not perfect and we can clearly see why is not official yet.
I use it continuously from the start and love it but:
So the available Android app works fine, but not with it's full potential. No multichannel audio and the navigation is really far from the optimal. I would rather call it: 'barely just works'.
But what it already give, that is problem-less, this is why I also use it for months now.
Same. Ccwgtv stadia as of March 29, looks like it's 4k, no HDR and no 5.1.
With ccu, I get 4k hdr, but no 5.1 via TV
But with soundbar hdmi in, I get 5.1 but no 4k hdr.
Really hoping the ccwgtv update fixes this.
For now at least, no, I doubt it will even come in the first half of the year, as it's almost over now.
