Yup - since I bought my Chromecast - it is constantly hot to the touch and the stadia controller freezes up during the game. I have to unplug the Chromecast and cool it off before I can play or freeze my home like a server farm.
...they told me it was my (high-speed fiberoptic) connection...
Good one Google...
I'm having the same problem. It's not just a little warm like some devices will get. It's burning hot to the touch almost. I noticed it while I was moving it from my living room to the bedroom after only being on for 10 minutes at most.
My chromecast remote burnt a hole in a blanket. I only use mine for streaming so I don't think it could be a gaming for hours issue. There is something not grounded or a short somewhere. It should not be "not a big deal". Mine has been getting hot for about 7 months. My daughter lost the back to it and the batteries will give you blisters on occasions if your not careful. My batteries had no trave of branding last time it happened. Be careful everyone!
