I have the chromecast ultra 4k connected via ethernet cable using the original charger that came with stadia. Just yesterday I got the message that the power supply is not standard and that I should use the original one for 4k functionality...
I followed the possible solution proposed by this post but it still doesn't work (plug/unplug and restore factory settings): https://community.stadia.com/t5/Stadia-on-TV/This-is-what-I-saw -just-now/m-p/7671
technical information:
System firmware version: 281627
Cast Firmware: 1.56.281627
Any idea how to fix it? ty.
Hey player with on the best name possible :),
power supplies can break easily. Do you have the chance to test another one? Maybe a friend of your's can borrow you one for testing purposes.
@BudSpencer Does the message only appear when you're using Stadia (that you're not using original charger)? What if you're trying to cast something else (Netflix, Youtube for example) do you get the same message? Aside from changing the power supply like what @Borussia mentioned above, it might be worth to change the cable, and also plug it in a different power outlet, just to eliminate the possibility of hardware/peripheral failure.
Also when you try playing a game, are you still getting 4k signal? I also wonder if it's just false alarm.
Hello @Ivan, the message appears when I start the chromecast before launching the stadia games. I do not use any power strip because I have many direct plugs on the wall (I have tried several plugs and also in a different room with another TV with the same message).
I'm waiting for a friend to lend me another original charger to do the test proposed by @Borussia

Hey @BudSpencer,
Did you have the opportunity to do the test that @Borussia suggested? Keep us posted when you can.
Thank you,
James
Hey again, folks,
Since we haven't heard anything back, we'll be closing this conversation now. Please let us know in a new post if anything else comes up.
Thanks,
