I've both Google Chromecast with TV and now a Google Chromecast Ultra (thanks to the Cyberpunk 2077 promo).
With Google Chromecast Ultra there is a power adapter with Ethernet plug-in... is the same that is sold for the new Google Chromecast with Tv? Can i use this adapter with Google Chromecast with TV without problems?
Thanks
The Chromecast Ultra uses a micro-USB connector, while the newer Chromecast with Google TV uses the newer USB-C connector. Therefore, the older power adapter with built in Ethernet will not work with the newer CC w/GTV device.
Hey @purple1976
I am not sure about that
But you are welcome to ask in the Chromecast Community

No, a micro-USB to USB-C adapter won't work for this (it's been tried). The official adapter from Google works, and I've heard some people have had good luck with some third-party USB-C hubs that have Ethernet ports built in.
I confirm that I have tested the micro USB to USB-C adapter and it doesn't work ![]()
It's a pity
It is with heavy heart, I confirm your findings...
Hi everyone,
This is an older post, and it looks like we've been able to come to an understanding here, so we'll go ahead and close it. Please feel free to reach back out if anything else comes up.
Thank you,
